Zvolen is located in Zvolen, S of Banska Bystrica. The isolated suburban hillside has no sign or marker. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all via a broken masonry wall and a non-locking gate. 100-500 19th-20th century marble, granite, and other materials flat shaped tombstones or finely smoothed and inscribed stones with Hebrew and German inscriptions are in original locations. Adjacent properties are residential. Rarely, private visitors stop. Within the cemetery is a pre-burial house. Security, pollution, and vandalism are very serious threats.
