The town of Zemplen Dobra, also know as Dobra nad Ondavou, no longer exists as it is now under a man-made lake. However, the cemetery is still there in good condition.

Directions to the Dobra Cemetery: Go N on the low road on the W side of the lake from Mala Domasa. Pass the dark brown Kaffe Bar. Continue on the road around the bend in the road to the right. It seems as though this is the end of the lake but it is actually only a small place on the W where the lake juts out. Continue on this road a short distance. Turn left at the Hotel Dobra that is really just a small lodge. Make the first right onto a gravel road. Continue about 1 km on the gravel road past a gate that looks like a railroad-crossing gate. The cemetery is a short way past, up the road on the right after this gate.

Enclosed in a chain link fence with a lock on it, the key is in Kosice. There is a place on the left side toward the back where you can crawl under the fence if you don't mind getting muddy. Wear waterproof hiking boots as the cemetery is under a heavy canopy of trees and probably never completely dries out. There are about 50 graves. Dr. Josif Banik, who lives in the town of Benkovce, cares for the cemetery. Sources: Bobby Furst, This email address is being protected from spambots.
