Alternate/former name of town or village: (Hungarian) Tot Yablonka. Jablon is in Zemplen county at 49º04' 21º59' lat., 9.7 miles NNE of Humenne.
In 1926, Joseph Klein, a well-known American tax lawyer, came to Jablon where his mother Esther Eichler was born. He had a "totenhaus" built in the cemetery (a house where the dead are cleansed before burial. He also visited the Humenne cemetery where he had an inscription made on the gravestone of his grandfather (Joseph Eichler). Bert Gross was unable to find the stone in 1998.
