BURIAL SITE:

  • There are two unrelated gravesites still extant there about 15 yards apart, Binder and Lieberman. It seems reasonable that the site was designated to be a formal Jewish cemetery but was not properly developed since the Colony failed after four years and the land sold to non-Jews Today, the stones are respectfully cared for by the dairy farm owner with metal cages around the stones to prevent cows from scratch on the stones. There were four deaths during the period, two children and two adults. Ground penetrating radar studies to locate the other two have not been done.  Source This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. [Sep 2015]
