B'nai Israel Congregation Cemetery (Sons of Israel):
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike West, take exit 22 (Morgantown-I 176), Interstate 176 North, Route 422 West into Lebanon, PA, 72 North to I-81 North, exit 36 (route 61West), 61 West to Shamokin PA. Mr. Moskowitz recommends taking PA turnpike to Morgantown, follow signs to Reading, PA, 61 into Shamokin.
The cemetery with 150 graves is on a hill outside Shamokin. Cemetery is open 24 hours, but call ahead for directions.
Shamokin is 120 miles from Philadelphia, above Pottsville and below Hazelton and Bloomsberg and west of the Schukyll and south of Columbia.
