Bnai Zion Old and New Jewish Cemeteries: "They worshipped in a synagogue on Water Street purchased about 1854. Later, about 1881, the Russian Jews arrived. Due to the cultural and language differences between the groups, they were separate until about 1915- therefore the two B'nai Zion Jewish cemeteries." http://www.rootsweb.com/~pamcgs/jewish_community.htm.

http://www.interment.net/data/us/pa/montour/bnai_new/zion.htm has more information, directions, and a burial list. The cemetery is maintained by the local FNB Bank, N.A. in trust. [January 2003]
