Oakwood Cemetery: Jewish section (section 41) of Oakwood Cemetery, 1225 Oakwood Sttret, Fremont, Ohion 43420 (419-332-6471) in Sandusky County.

Current population 18,000, with current Jewish population of six, possibly eight. The paid caretaker is Jack W. Ferguson. The 3x5 burial cards but have no biographical information, only name and date of internment. Cemetery hours are dawn to dusk. The overall non-profit corporation cemetery is 50+ acres. No vandalism ever occurred. Within the unfenced and ungated cemetery is an office. Adjacent properties are residential. No threats.

The active cemetery is open to all with no wall or fence. The suburban location is on a slope back from a high bank overlooking the Sandusky River. The 1000-5000 tombstones date from the 19th century and 20th centuries. Inscriptions are in English.
