HARDYSTON Twp. Sussex County

  • Congregation Sons of Israel: Between the towns of Monroe and Hamburg. This beautiful and well-maintained site is located among rolling hills, bordered on two sides by a stone fence and on two sides open to the Christian cemetery known as Old North Church Cemetery. The land for this cemetery was donated by Harry Fischgrund to the Congregation Sons of Israel in Franklin Boro, probably between 1925 and 1930. The iron gate with Star of David was fabricated by my grandfather, Joseph Platzner, who was Harry Fishgrund's father-in-law. Colonel (USA Rtd) Harold Sidney Fischgrund, Harry Fischgrund's son, gave this information. Marty Platzner; e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots.
