The caretaker has the key. The 1918 cemetery is still active for Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and Sephardic Jews. The suburban cemetery location is on a hillside and isolated. A sign in English reading "Agudas Achim Cemetery" marks the site. The 5.5-acre cemetery is reached by turning directly off a public road with access open to all. A continuous fence and a gate that does not lock surround the cemetery. English and Hebrew inscribed tombstones in the cemetery are datable from the 20th century. Fitchburg's Agudas Achim Synagogue is the present owner of the cemetery property. Properties adjacent to the cemetery are residential. The cemetery is visited frequently by private visitors. Maintenance: clearing of vegetation by a regular caretaker. Within the limits of the cemetery is a caretaker's house. Leonard Smith completed the survey on 13 November 1997.
