Non-sectarian with Jewish consecrated ground. 1800 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33132. �����This historic cemetery, established in 1897 Between N.E. 18th and 19th Streets. Established in 1897, this cemetery with a walled Jewish section was acquired in 1915 by B'nei Zion congregation (founded 1912, later calledBeth David). Over 100 Jews are buried there. Earlier, Jews were buried in Jacksonville. This is the fourth oldest cemetery in the state. - Three congregations (Beth El, Beth Jacob and Beth David) purchased one acre of consecrated ground in Woodlawn Cemetery in 1931. This was their first cemetery, a Jewish section in a non-sectarian cemetery. There were 1056 graves in 1999. Beth David merged with Beth Kodesh in the 1980's. In 1940, these same congregations purchased 25 acres and began their own Jewish Mt. Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery.
