See 1995 article "Jews Reclaim Gold Rush Cemetery in Marysville" [November 2019]

  • The Commission for the Preservation of Pioneer Jewish Cemeteries and Landmarks in the West of the Judah L. Magnes Museum, a Berkeley-based group recently won the right to restore and care for the historic Marysville Jewish Cemetery on July 19th, 1995 in Superior Court of California of Yuba County. The Commission filed a lawsuit seeking to be named successor to the Marysville Hebrew Benevolent Society and was granted its interest.
