Welcome to the International Jewish Cemetery Project.
Our mission is to document every Jewish burial site in the world.

We have successfully collected information about thousands of Jewish cemetery sites all over the world along with information on the location of the cemetery, and how to obtain more information. Each Jewish cemetery or burial site listed in the project by town or city, country, and geographic region is based on current locality designation. Some listings include links to other websites with additional information such as burial lists or a name to contact by email or snail-mail. Please use the seach engine on our home page to check the site for information.

There are many more Jewish burial sites to be identified. IAJGS seeks the help of visitors to our website and genealogists around the world in this quest for information. If you have information to share about a burial site not included on our website, please contact project coordinator or complete the Burial Site Survey found in the "Instructions and Information" section.

For information about individual burials, please visit the Jewish Online Worldwide Burial Registry (JOWBR) at jewishgen.org.- that project will be taking over this site in the future.

Please note that IAJGS is unable to assist with providing images or information on specific individuals in a particular cemetery. For this information, IAJGS encourages participation in the list serves on jewishgen.org, where you can post questions, or by contacting the specific cemetery or local genealogical society. A list of IAJGS member societies can be found at http://iajgs.org/members/members.html
