  (2, 19) Followers/Pursuers of Peace (19, p 70), formerly German Hebrew Congregation) (13a). There were 3 separate locations in Kensington, Nicetown, and Harrogate. See Roosevelt Memorial Park's Section "L" for reinterred remains (Source: Lee Stanley, son of Cantor Harry Stanley of Rodeph Sholom). Incorporated in 1812 as the Hebrew German Society Rodeph Shalom (15), the original ground was purchased in 1801, opened 1802, and sold 1889.

Directions: 1) From Center City and Points West. Schuylkill Expressway to Roosevelt Blvd (U.S. #1 North). Proceed North, past Oxford Circle. After you pass light at Byberry Rd (old Phila State Hospital) go to far right lane. Pull into "jughandle" just before light (Old Lincoln Highway) to make left across US #1. Park is on right. Office located at 2nd entrance. 2) U.S. #1 South: First light past Pennsylvania Turnpike (exit 28), turn right. Office is located at 2nd entrance to Park. For records, contact the office.   Directions: 1) Take Roosevelt Blvd (US 1 North) to Byberry Rd (Nabisco on corner), turn left on Byberry Rd to Pine Rd. Turn right on Pine Rd to cemetery entrance. 2) From Center City: Take Rt I-95 North Woodhaven Rd, West on Woodhave Rd. follow Woodhaven Rd to U.S. Route 1 South. Take this exit to 1st light (Byberry Rd) turn right and follow directions as above.
