- " In 1984, when I made my first trip to Zerf, there was a well-cared for Jewish cemetery in the village. The book by Edgar Christoffel has a well-researched chapter on the Jewish population of Zerf in the 1930s"... There was a Jewish place of worship in Zerf! (the Jewish temple unfortunately was destroyed. Today the Pharmacy Hasse stands on that spot) Today there is still a Jewish cemetery in Zerf." Source [August 2012]
