I. Old cemetery: At the beginning of the An der Freilichtbühne road.
IN USE: From 17th century. Bush dates the oldest datable gravesone from 1806 and last from 1866.
NUMBER OF GRAVESTONES: 33.

NOTE:
- Friedrich-Wilhelm Busch included a number of gravestone photographs on which dates were not decipherable; see Piechorowski 1982, pages 191-199.
- According to local sources the oldest datable gravestome dates from 1761. All gravestones are oriented towards the east and carry only inscriptions in Hebrew. 85 Jews lived in Bad Bentheim in 1880, today there remain 2 Jewish families.
