NOTES:
- The Jewish communities living the Aerzen area used two cemeteries: those from Hermeringen buried their Dead in the "Hupenkamp" cemetery in Hemeringen whilst those living in Aerzen, Gross Berkel and Reher used the larger cemetery on the "Kasselbreite" for their last resting place.
- The cemetery on Kasselbreite is said to have had at least 40 well preserved gravestones prior to the Nazi era. During the November 1938 pogrom the majority of these gravestones were either destroyed and/or possibly used for house and road construction. The Hupenkamp cemetery was also vandalised in 1938.
- The Association of Jewish Communities in Lower Saxony is the owner of the cemetery since 1960.
