NOVO-UMAN: Mykolaivska oblast

Unprotected mass grave: An unknown number of Hasidic Jews are buried there. No signs mark the boundaries. Vegetation is a problem. The grave has been vandalized within the past ten years, but the municipality that owns the site has not erected a fence to protect it. The grave is currently used for agricultural purposes: grazing and growing crops. [January 2009]
