From a local history booklet " Ulic ", by Vasil Fedic, published in 1996, Translated by Bill Tarkulich, 2001 "....Probably already in the eighteenth century a Jewish settlement had been established. Gradually obtaining a dominant rank in regional trading, tavern ownership, market and to pursue trade. In the World War II period they were deported from the village. Those, who worked in a concentration camp were slaughtered by bandits upon their return. Surnames included Sender, Stein, Ruzena Steinová, Levia Riedermannová, Estera Klehrová."
