- The Jewish cemetery of Plavnica is located above the village on the way to Stará Ľubovňa on the slope north of the roads 68 and 77. This 50x30m cemetery is fenced with an entrance from the upper side. The cemetery was cleaned by the Central Union of Jewish Communities, but gradually became overgrown again. Source and photos. Plavnica is located E of Stara Lubovna. The isolated rural/agricultural hillside has no sign or marker. Reached by crossing a public field, access is open to all via a broken masonry wall without gate. 20-100 marble 19th-20th century flat shaped tombstones with Hebrew inscriptions are in original locations. Adjacent properties are agricultural. Private visitors stop rarely. Vegetation is a very serious threat disturbing stones and graves.
