Nove Zamky is located in Nove Zamky, N of Komarno. The isolated rural/agricultural flat land has no sign or marker. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all via a masonry wall and locking gate. Present size of the cemetery is 100x200 meters. 500-5000 19th-20th century tombstones in original locations are marble, granite, sandstone, and other materials flat shaped tombstones (some with carved relief decorations), finely smoothed and inscribed stones, double tombstones, or multi-stone monuments. Inscriptions are Hebrew, German, and Hungarian. Within the limits of the cemetery are a pre-burial house, tombs, a gravedigger's house, and a coach for burial ceremony. The local Jewish community owns the property used for Jewish cemetery only. Adjacent properties are agricultural. Compared to 1939, cemetery boundaries are the same. Private visitors visit frequently.

Restoration: re-erection of stones, patching broken stones, cleaning stones, and clearing vegetation. There is a regular caretaker. No threats. The following announcement appeared in the 4/97 issue of Nase Slova IV, a bilingual bulletin published by students of the Comenius University (Bratislava) Journalism School, distributed to subscribers to the Slovak-World list. "As you have been informed by us, vandals desecrated a Jewish cemetery in Nove Zamky, overturning and damaging more than 160 tombstones. One of the tombstones was smeared with Nazi slogans. The damage was estimated at more than 1.2 million Slovak crowns. A few days later a Jewish cemetery in Kosice was desecrated too.
