Modava nad Bodvou is located SW of Kosice. The isolated hillside, between fields and woods, has no sign or marker. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all via a broken masonry wall and a non-locking gate. 20-100 19th-20th century marble, granite, and sandstone flat shaped tombstones with Hebrew inscriptions are all in original locations. Unknown property owner uses site for waste dump or abandoned [unclear]. Adjacent properties are agricultural. Private visitors stop rarely. The cemetery has a pre-burial house. Security, pollution, and vegetation are moderate threats. Vandalism is a serious threat.

UPDATE: "The radnice (city hall) people sent us (myself and a friend from the Kosice Jewish community) to the person who had done some renovation work on the site. A masonry gate with a dedication placque from 1998 and a continuous iron fence exists. The stones are in poor to fair shape. There was an interest group of fourteen persons coming to the town in July."
