US Commission No. SLCE000140
Krupina is located S of Zvolen, 4821 1904, 90.7 miles E of Bratislava. The isolated urban hillside cemetery has no sign or marker. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all via a fence with a locking gate. 100-500 19th-20th century marble, granite, and sandstone are flat shaped stones, finely smoothed and inscribed stones, or double tombstones with Hebrew and German inscriptions in original locations. The site is Jewish cemetery only. Adjacent properties are residential. Occasionally, private visitors stop. Local non-Jewish residents carried out restoration: re-erection of stones, patching broken stones, cleaning stones, and clearing vegetation. Occasionally, individuals clean or clear. Vandalism is a moderate threat.
