Circ is located in Stara Lubovna, W of Bardejov. The isolated suburban hillside between fields and woods has no sign or marker. Reached by crossing private property, access is open to all via a broken masonry wall and no gate. 20-100 19th/20th century marble and sandstone gravestones, all in original location, are flat shaped tombstones with Hebrew inscriptions. The property is used for waste dump or abandoned [unclear]. Adjacent properties are agricultural. Private visitors stop rarely. There are no threats. In 1994, a gypsy from a tavern led us to the cemetery where tombstones have been reused as pathways, thresholds, etc. We uncovered what we could in a short time, but many tombstones were unreachable with the tools available. Names seen included Gellerman. The tomb of the town mohel, Naphtali haLevi Ehrlich, was there in 1994. The cemetery is outside of the town proper, on the right side of the road. One stone is barely visible from the road. You cross a little stream and climb a hill in order to reach a drywall fence, which seems to mark the outer boundary of the cemetry. From its appearance, I would say that the cemetery has been abandoned since 1938-39. Source: Lenni Kramer, Woodmere, NY 11598
