Alternate name: Bojná. 4835 1804, 52.9 miles NE of Bratislava Bojna is located in Topolcany, E of Piestany. The last Jewish burial was 1938. The isolated suburban agricultural hillside has no sign or marker. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all with no wall or gate. 20-100 19th-20th marble, granite, and sandstone century tombstones in original locations are flat shaped stones, finely smoothed and inscribed stones, or double tombstones with Hebrew and German inscriptions. No mass graves or structures in the cemetery now used for waste dump or abandoned [unclear]. Adjacent properties are agricultural and residential. Private visitors stop rarely. Pollution and vandalism are moderate threats. [pre 1997]
