Coat of arms of Gmina Suchań Alternate names: Suchań, Zachan. 53°17' N 15°18' E, 248.5 miles WNW of Warszawa. This town in Suchań gmina, Stargard powiat, West Pomeranian Voivodeship with 1,443 inhabitants in 2004. Beside the town of Suchań, Gmina Suchań contains the villages and settlements of Brudzewice, Ininy, Kolonia Brudzewice, Kolonia Zaolzie, Modrzewo, Nosowo, Podłęcze, Sadłowo, Słodkówko, Słodkowo, Suchanki, Suchanówko, Tarnowo, Wapnica, Zastawie and Żukowo. CEMETERY: Established at the beginning of the 19th century on a wooded hill on the outskirts of the city south of the old forest hut off of Arnswalder Landstraße (currently Leśna Street). A small path led to it from the main road. In 1996, about a dozen gravestones, many in fragments, remain. Only two inscriptions are legible: Georg Nathan, 25.06.1888-1927 and Hermann Nathan, 1848-02.02.1925. photos. [July 2009]
