Krzywiń [Pol]. 51°57' N 16°49' E, 178.6 miles W of Warszawa. Krzywiń is a small town in the center of Poland in Kościan powiat, Greater Poland Voivodeship at the Obra canal. First documented asCrivin in 1181, the area was a prominent marketplace by 1237 and referred to as a town. The town is the seat of Gmina Krzywiń, an urban-rural administrative district that contains the villages and settlements of Bielewo, Bieżyń, Boża Wola, Cichowo, Czerwona Wieś, Gierłachowo, Jerka, Jurkowo, Jurkowo-Huby, Kopaszewo, Kuszkowo, Łagowo, Lubiń, Łuszkowo, Mościszki, Nowy Dwór, Polesie, Rąbiń, Rąbinek, Rogaczewo Małe, Rogaczewo Wielkie, Stary Dębiec, Świniec, Szurkowo, Teklimyśl, Wieszkowo, Wymysłowo, Zbęchy, Zbęchy-Pole, Żelazno and Zgliniec. Earliest known Jewish community and cemetery both began in 19th century. 1921 Conservative and Progressive/Reform Jewish population was 11 (0.6%). The isolated suburban hillside has no sign or marker. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open with permission. The new usersfenced the cemetery property with no gate. The size of the cemetery before WWII was 0.2 hectares. It no longer exists, replaced by the brickyard and storehouses. There are no gravestones. Present owner of the cemetery property is a Joseph Mosze Feldel. The cemetery was vandalized during WWII.
