Alternate names: Krajenka [Pol], KrojSubmit an Articleanke [Ger], Krajenka Chelmno. 53°18' N, 16°59' E, 61 miles N of Poznań (Posen), 100 miles SW of Gdańsk (Danzig), 4 miles SW of Złotów (Flatau). 1900 Jewish population: 648 (in 1951), ~250 (in 1933). This town in the Greater Poland Voivodeship had 3,804 inhabitants in 2005 and is in Złotów County. Apart from the town of Krajenka, Gmina Krajenka contains the villages and settlements of Augustowo, Barankowo, Czajcze, Dolnik, Głubczyn, Krajenka-Wybudowanie, Leśnik, Łońsko, Maryniec, Paruszka, Podróżna, Pogórze, Rogownica, Skórka, Śmiardowo Krajeńskie, Tarnówczyn, Wąsoszki and Żeleźnica. Located in Pila at 52°18N 17°00E, 20 km from Pila. Cemetery location: ul. Ogrodowa. Present town population is 1,000-5,000 with no Jews.

There is no caretaker. The community existed since the 16th century. In 1717, they were given permission to build a synagogue. The new synagogue, built in 1842, was burned during "Kristallnacht". The cemetery was established in the 16th century. Progressive/Reform Jews used the cemetery. The isolated suburban flat land has no sign or marker. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all with no wall, gate, or fence. Approximate size of cemetery before WWII and now is.70 ha. There are no visible stones or known mass graves. A regional or national agency owns property used for Jewish cemetery only. Properties adjacent are agricultural. Rarely, local residents visit. The cemetery was vandalized prior to WW II. The cemetery is not maintained. There are no structures within the cemetery. Threats: Vandalism is a slight threat.
