Alternate names: Jasienica Rosielna [Pol], Yashnitze [Yid], Jasienica. 49°45' N, 21°57' E, 21 miles S of Rzeszów (Zheshuv). 1900 Jewish population: 546. This village  located in the Podkarpackie province in Brzozowskim district in the municipality Jasienica Rosielna and seat of the municipality Jasienica Rosielna. In 1975-1998, the town administratively belonged to the Krosno province. Friday was the weekly market and three times a year (2 July, 5 August and 9 December) fairs were held. [May 2009]

MASS GRAVE: On August 11, 1942 at 7 PM, the Nazis shot 1,000 Jews at the cemetery and broke the heads of small children on trees. [May 2009]

The town is located in region Krosnienskie at 49.48 N 21º59 E, 20 km from Krosno and 47 km from Rneszols. The cemetery is located 1 km N of the village center. Present town population is under 1000-5000 with no Jews.

1921 Jewish population was 479. Orthodox Jews used the isolated rural crown of a hill with no marker or sign nor wall, fence, or gate. Reached by crossing private property, access is open to all. It is 0.1 hectare in size. No gravestones are visible; however it does contain a special memorial monument to Holocaust victims. The present owner is unknown. Rarely, private visitors stop. Properties adjacent are agricultural. The cemetery was vandalized during WWII. No maintenance. Within the limits of the cemetery are no structures.
