Egerág Jewish cemetery [March 2009]
The unlandmarked cemetery is 0.6 km S of the center of Egerag and 12 km SSE of Pecs. The flat, rural location is isolated and unmarked. Reached by turning directly off a public road, the 1.25 hectare site is open to all with no wall, fence, or gate. Fewer than 20 gravestones are visible of which more than 75% are toppled or broken. The 19th century granite gravestones are flat with Hebrew and Hungarian inscriptions. Vegetation overgrowth is a big problem. Cemetery sections are impossible to determine Adjacent property is agricultural. The cemetery seems never to have been visited although it was vandalized at some point. No maintenance or care.
