ALTERNATE NAMES: CSORNA [HUN]. 47°37' N, 17°15' E, 18 MILES WSW OF GYŐR. IN NW HUNGARY, NEAR THE AUSTRIAN BORDER. JEWISH POPULATION: 512 (IN 1880).

The Orthodox community was founded in 1853 and opened a school in 1854 that had two students. In 2004, the cemetery''s catafaque was renovated. [March 2009]
