There used to be a synagogue but it was knocked down. [February 2009]

Aszód Jewish cemetery: The Schossberger burial chapel (called House of Life) is a small square Art Nouveau building, elevated on a pedestal with columns at its corners and a dome on top.  It was renovated in 1996 with the help of the Association for Town Embellishment  together with the Monument of the Martyrs, which overlooks the adjoining cemetery.  Both are on the hill above the town and have been open to visitors ever since.
