CEMETERY: May 1977 visit: The Zhlobin Jewish cemetery is in the NE corner of Zhlobin, located on the left side of a dirt road leading off of Karl Marx Street (the last street before the Dnepr River). Cemetery is on the road leading toward Rogachev, right after the brick factory (tall stack) and before the television tower. It is in a flat, grassy area within sight of the Dnepr River. The cemetery has about 25 identifiable gravesites of which about eight are modern. The modern gravesites have individual metal fences around the graves with metal markers and no stones. Many of the old tombstones are knocked over or partly buried. The cemetery has neither defined borders nor fences to protect it. Another Jewish cemetery is in a suburb of Zhlobin known as Karpilokov.
