Alternate names: Elbasan, Elbasani, Elbassan. 41°07' N 20°05' E, 20.6 miles SE of Tiranë. This city in central Albania has a section known as the Jewish Quarter (Samer). A Mogen David could be seen on the upper part of a building. The concrete Star was removed and can now be seen in the small museum in Elbasan. [July 2009]
