There are two Jewish cemeteries in Ste-Sophie, Quebec, about 30 km north of Montreal in the Lower Laurentian Mountains.

[UPDATE] "Approaching from the entrance, the front section is used by the chassidic/ultra-orthodox community and the very large tombstones here exhibit a great deal of genealogical information, and are often covered, front and back with inscriptions.
After crossing the gulley, which has a stream running through it, the back section is the resting place of the former Jewish farming community members and their families, who persisted - and succeeded - in trying to make a living from the poor soil. This section, a tribute to the former Jewish farming community, is a traditional orthodox cemetery." Source: This email address is being protected from spambots.
