CEMETERIES:

  • Hebrew Section, Margate (St John's) Cemetery, Manston Road, Margate:

This section, for burials by the (Orthodox) Margate Hebrew Congregation, is fenced off and separated from the rest of the cemetery. It is situated at the northern corner of the cemetery and has its own ohel (chapel). Source: David Shulman - Webmaster JCR-UK [February 2020]

  • Reform Hebrew Section, Margate (St John's) Cemetery, 8 Manston Road, Margate CT9 4LZ:

This section (part of Section LIII of the cemetery), came into use in 1986, and is used for burials, and the interment of cremated remains, by the Thanet & District Reform Jewish Community, based in nearby Ramsgate. Source: David Shulman - Webmaster JCR-UK [February 2020]
