UPDATE: The 1 March 1960 Agadir earthquake killed 12,000, of whom ten percent were Jews. In Agadir cemetery, two-thirds of the tombs are those of the people who died on that day. Muslim, Jewish, and Christian cemeteries lie side by side in an area that was never rebuilt, since it lies on the fault. Common graves exist.
