Hlyboka (Ukrainian: Глибока, Romanian Adâncata, Adancata, Adynkata, Glibookaya, Glyboka, Glybokaya, Khliboka,Głębokie) is a town/village near Bohorodczany in Chernivtsi Oblast of western Ukraine at 48°05' N 25°55' E and the administrative center of the Hlybotsky Raion. 2000 population was 9,800. Before World War II, large parts of lands of Hlyboka were owned by Polish noble families: until 1892 by Prince Adam Sapieha, then by Bronislaw Skibniewski (1830-1904) and later by his son, Aleksander Skibniewski (1868-1942).
