Mezőtúr is a town at 47°00′N 20°38′E in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County, 88 m SE of Budapest on the banks of the Hortobágy-Berettyó, near the Budapest-Szolnok-Békéscsaba railway line. The town is known for pottery manufacture, large herds of cattle reared on communal lands, and wheat, rapeseed, and maize crops and several well-attended annual fairs.
