Alternate names: Dzyarzhynsk [Bel], Dzerzhinsk [Rus, since 1932], Koidanovo [Rus, until 1932], Koidenav [Yid], Kojdanów [Pol], Dzerjinsk, Dzjarzynsk, Dziaržynsk, Dsjarschynsk, Kaidanovo, Kaydanovo, Kojdanava, Koydanovo, Koydanava, Kojdanaŭ, Keidanov, Kaiden, Belarusian: Дзяржынск, Койданаў. Russian: Дзержинск, Койданово. Yiddish: . קוידענאו Renamed to 'Dzerzhinsk' in 1932. Located at 53°41' N, 27°09' E, 23 miles SW of Minsk, 21 miles NE of Stowbtsy.
