Gmina Pokój is a rural administrative district in Namysłów powiat, Opole Voivodeship in SW Poland with its seat as the village of Pokój, 20 km (12 mi) SE of Namysłów and 29 km (18 mi) N of the regional capital Opole. The 2006 total population was 5,573. Gmina Pokój contains the villages and settlements of Dąbrówka Dolna, Domaradz, Domaradzka Kuźnia, Fałkowice, Jagienna, Kopalina, Kozuby, Krogulna, Krzywa Góra, Ładza, Lubnów, Paryż, Pokój, Siedlice, Świercowskie, Żabiniec, Zawiść and Zieleniec. Normal 0 In 1842, a Jewish community with 96 members and synagogue and cemetery on ul. Kolejowa was found in this small village between Namyslow and Opole. In 1861, 128 Jews lived here. The Jewish population declined in the late 1800s and early 1900s as they immigrated due to a negative economic climate. In 1933, only 33 Jews lived here.
