Also see Berezhany. Old suburban village near Berezhany in Ternopil region of Western Ukraine. 1900 Jewish population was seven and five in 1939. Jews who were taken by Nazis to Ray (name means paradise) were executed in a mass grave in vicinity of Ray brickworks factory. No sign marks the place today.
