Alternate name: Obertyn (Polish. Obertin is located in Ivano-Frankovskaya at 48°24 25°10, 75km from Chernovtsy and 25km from Tlumach. The cemetery is located at 500m to East from center of village, near Sirka St. Present town population is 5,001-25,000 with no Jews.

     The earliest known Jewish community was 18th century. 1939 Jewish population (census) was 1131. In 1867, Jews received all rights of Austro-Hungary. The last known Jewish burial was 1940. No other towns or villages used this unlandmarked Hasidic cemetery. The isolated urban flat land has no sign or marker. Reached by Sirka Steet, access is open with permission. A continuous fence with a non-locking gate surrounds. No stones are visible. Location of any removed stones is unknown. The cemetery contains no known mass graves. Municipality owns property used for industrial or commercial use. Properties adjacent are commercial-industrial and residential. The cemetery boundaries are smaller now than 1939 because of new roads or highways and commercial-industrial development. Occasionally, local residents visit. The cemetery was vandalized during World War II and not in the last ten years. There is no maintenance now. Within the limits of the cemetery are no structures. The Utility Service threatens remains. Very serious threat: existing nearby development (Utility Service). Moderate threat: uncontrolled access, pollution and proposed nearby development. Slight threat: weather erosion and vegetation.
