Alternate name: Hidalmas (Yiddish). Hida is located in Zakarpatskaya at 48º47 23º17, 16 km from Vinogradov, 56 km from Mukachevo and 45 km from Cluj. The cemetery is located at south of the village, 300 m to the Romunian border. Present town population is 1,000-5,000 with no Jews.

     The earliest known Jewish community was 19th century. 1939 Jewish population (census) was 338. In 1918, Zakarpat'e was transferred to the Czech. The last known Hasidic Jewish burial was 1978. No other towns or villages used this unlandmarked cemetery. The wooded suburban hillside, part of a municipal cemetery, has no sign or marker. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all. No wall, fence, or gate surrounds site. 101 to 500 stones, all in original location with no surviving common tombstones toppled or broken, date from the 19th century. Location of any removed stones is unknown. The cemetery has no special sections or known mass graves. The municipality owns the property used for Jewish section of non-Jewish cemetery. Adjacent properties are agricultural and forest. The cemetery boundaries are unchanged since 1939. Private Jewish or non-Jewish visitors visit occasionally. This cemetery has not been vandalized. Local non-Jewish residents and Jewish individuals abroad cleaned stones and cleared vegetation in 1990. Now, individuals occasionally clean or clear site. Within the limits of the cemetery are no structures. Vegetation overgrowth is a seasonal problem, preventing access. Water drainage is a seasonal problem. Moderate threat: uncontrolled access, weather erosion and vegetation. Slight threat: pollution and vandalism.
