Bereznehuvate Raion (Ukrainian: Березнегуватський район) is located in the Mykolaiv Oblast of Ukraine and administrative center is the town of Bereznehuvate.

Jews apparently began to settle in Bereznegovatoye in the mid-19th century. In 1910 380 Jews lived in Bereznegovatoye, comprising 4 percent of the total population. The Jews of the village were small-scale traders or artisans. In 1882 there were two pogroms in Bereznegovatoye. During the Russian civil war, in 1918-1919, there were another two pogroms in Bereznegovatoye; they were staged by Petliura's Ukrainian troops and by Denikin's White Army.
