ROM-SIG Digest: "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.> 26 Jan 2017 "... It is not in great condition but has several good quality, legible headstones, among them that of my great-great-grandfather. I visited this cemetery in 2000 and to my recollection, the cemetery is on the outskirts of town and was fenced but not locked. Recently, a family member visited Nusfalau but found the cemetery to be locked, she could not get in. It appeared that the fence had been built up since 2000. I am wondering if anyone is familiar with the area, and can offer suggestions on whom to contact to gain entry. Another relative is planning to visit in a few months. In particular, we are looking to get a better photo of GGGF's stone. Thanks. [Date?] UPDATE: "I got the key from the town office, the mayor was very helpful. If your relative go there in a time when the office is closed, he let ask for the mayor, who lives in the street toward cemetery, and all local people know him, of course." "A member of our Jewish Genealogical Working Group has informed me that until two years ago there was a caretaker at the cemetary but due to some local conflict he may have resigned. His phone number was displayed at the gate, perhaps it is still there. If there is a padlock which can be opened with a numeral code and an ‘Avoyseinu - Avotejnu' sign is displayed, this member can disclose the code ‘sub rosa' for you."
