This town in western Poland with 39,900 inhabitants in 2006 in Lubusz Voivodeship since 1999 and previously in Zielona Góra Voivodeship (1975-1998) on the border between the Silesian Lowland and the Wielkopolska Lowland with tributaries of the Oder River, Bóbr and Nysa Łużycka.
