The old cemetery of Mitau, founded in the 16th century, was almost totally destroyed in Nazi and Soviet times. Located on the corner of Zalites street and Bauskas Street, about thirty tomb boxes without tombstones remain. Four legible tombstones are those of Jahe Herzberg (Stern), Hode Aronstein, Kron Shimelowitz, and Betty Schmahman (Jakobson) 1794-1837. 2 illegible stones.
