The cemetery is in good condition with more than 250 monuments still remaining. The oldest tombstone dates from the 1820s. Mr. Feigmanis has pictures of all the stones in this cemetery. MASS GRAVE: August 4, 1941. The mass grave is located in the town with a sign for the grave at the fence of the Jewish Cemetery of Varklani. Take Riga Street and drive until 10a Kapsetas Street. Inside the cemetery, the mass grave is behind the fence on the left side.
