Sloka is a residential area and neighborhood of the city, Jūrmala and formerly a town of its own from 1878 until 1959 when together with Rīgas Jūrmala, another town and later administrative part of Riga, and Ķemeri it was included in the newly formed city Jūrmala. See Riga.
