Téglás in Hungarian. 47°43' N, 21°41' E, 16 miles S of Nyíregyháza, 13 miles N of Debrecen. Jewish population: 117 (in 1880), 174 (in 1930). Jews settled in the late 18th cent., numbering 174 in 1930.

Jewish cemetery: Not far from the mill, the cemetery is fenced. The open grassy field holds gravestones on mostly one side and no trees. Site is fairly well tended. [February 2009]
